Ellsworth, it’s time to shine the spotlight on our amazing business community! The 2025 Best of Awards are underway, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate the hardworking businesses and organizations that make Ellsworth vibrant. This year’s theme, Ellsworth’s High Rollers, highlights the entrepreneurial spirit of our local businesses and the risks they take to build a stronger community for us all.
What Is the Best of Awards?
The Best of Awards is an annual competition that recognizes excellence in our business community. From the best new business to standout customer service, this friendly competition highlights the incredible contributions of our local businesses and organizations across nine categories.
The awards are an opportunity for us to come together as a community and show our appreciation for the businesses that go above and beyond to provide quality goods, services, and experiences right here in Ellsworth. Whether they’re cooking up your favorite meal, offering exceptional service, or creating new opportunities for growth, these local businesses help define the unique character of our town.
How Does It Work?
The competition has two rounds of voting:
Round 1: The first round of voting is open from Monday, January 20, 2025, through Wednesday, January 29, 2025. During this time, community members can nominate and vote for their favorite businesses in each category.
Round 2: The top three finalists in each category will move on to the second round of voting, which takes place from Friday, January 31, 2025, through Friday, February 7, 2025.
The winners will be announced and celebrated at our Annual Awards Banquet on Monday, February 17, 2025.

By participating in the Best of Awards, you’re doing more than just casting a vote—you’re lifting up the businesses that fuel our local economy, support community events, and make Ellsworth a great place to call home. Local businesses are the heart of our community, and every vote is a way to say, “We see you, we value you, and we’re grateful for all you do.”
