Rock the Block: Elevate Ellsworth
In collaboration with Habitat for Humanity, the Village of Ellsworth, and Ellsworth High School, and the Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce, we invite you to take part in Rock the Block: Elevate Ellsworth.
UPDATE: A BIG thank you to those who have signed up to volunteer already! After reviewing each project, here's the latest (as of Thursday, September 21) on our volunteer needs from Habitat for Humanity:Saturday, September 30: 25 more volunteers needed!
A neighborhood revitalization event, Rock the Block will take place Friday, September 29 through Sunday, October 1. Over these three days, volunteers will work on exterior projects like landscaping, upkeep, and repairs on several Ellsworth homes. The three days will culminate with a celebration picnic for volunteers. Learn more here.
This initiative is only possible with lots of volunteer help! Everyone who volunteers will receive a long-sleeved volunteer t-shirt, refreshments, and will be celebrated at the Rock the Block: Elevate Ellsworth Picnic.Volunteers are needed to help with landscaping/repairs, but you can also help out in other ways such as providing a donation of bulk-brewed coffee in the morning for volunteers, dropping off snacks and bottled water at the job sites, getting together with your organization to make sandwiches for volunteer lunches, and helping with set-up/tear-down for our celebratory picnic after the project is completed.
Take part as an individual, with coworkers, or as a family! Volunteers can learn more and register here.To inquire about providing a food donation or helping in another way, email Jessie Timme at community.outreach@scvhabitat.org
